Since 2004, Dawning Nemesis has been built around the people who make logging in worthwhile. As we begin our next chapter in World of Warcraft: Forever, our purpose remains the same: to share adventures, build friendships, and create a welcoming guild home.
We are an adult community with room for different interests, experience levels, and schedules. These principles guide how we treat one another and grow together.
1.Community comes first
We are a community of friends who play WoW. Questing, crafting, dungeons, and raids give us ways to spend time together.
Every member matters, whether they raid regularly, enjoy professions, explore at their own pace, or come for conversation and company. Guild membership does not require participation in raiding.
2.Treat people with respect
Be considerate of the person behind the character. We welcome different backgrounds, perspectives, and experience levels.
Harassment, discrimination, bullying, and belittling others have no place here. Treat people inside and outside the guild with kindness, including those who choose a different guild or way to play.
3.Make belonging something we practice
Welcome newcomers, answer questions patiently, and make room in conversations and activities. Help people find their footing and build friendships beyond the people they already know.
New members should have opportunities to contribute ideas and shape guild life. Longstanding friendships are our foundation, and we want others to build lasting friendships here too.
4.Respect real life and different ways to participate
Work, family, health, and other responsibilities come first. We do not expect everyone to play every day, keep the same pace, or enjoy the same content.
Discord voice and text are important parts of our community. Respect members who are quieter or prefer text. Individual organized activities may have communication requirements, which should be explained beforehand.
5.Help create the guild you want to belong to
A thriving community is a shared effort. Start a conversation, invite someone along, share knowledge, help with a profession, or offer encouragement.
Contributions take many forms. There are no quotas for playtime, donations, or social participation; small acts of consideration help make this a place people enjoy returning to.
6.Learn and improve together
Welcome questions and allow room for mistakes. Offer constructive advice with patience, and receive feedback with an open mind.
For challenging content, work toward the preparation and skills the activity requires. Experience is something we can share and develop together.
7.Honor the commitments you make
Joining an organized activity means respecting the time of the people joining you. Understand its expectations, arrive prepared and on time, and communicate when plans change.
Event leaders should explain requirements clearly and set reasonable expectations. Requirements for a particular group or activity do not determine someone’s value as a guild member.
8.Handle disagreements fairly
Disagreements can happen in a healthy community. Address them calmly and respectfully, and involve an officer when help is needed.
Members should feel comfortable raising concerns in good faith. Officers will listen, consider the circumstances, and address problems fairly. Harassment, retaliation, and repeated disruptive behavior will be addressed to protect the community.
9.Build our Forever future together
We want an active guild throughout the week, with opportunities for friendship, exploration, professions, dungeons, and raiding.
Our Forever raid teams and schedules will develop around member interest, availability, and people willing to lead. We will communicate plans honestly as they take shape.
Whatever activities we pursue, our commitment is to a welcoming community where people feel valued and look forward to spending time together.
